Entry Level Quant Researcher - Chicago

You are reading this because…

You have acquired remarkable knowledge in the field, having recently or in the last 2-3 years, defended your PhD in Statistics, Operations Research or Machine Learning/Computer Science. Over the course of your PhD or past experiences, you've become an excellent user of Python and it is integrated into everything you do. You enjoy new challenges and want to demonstrate your research and technical prowess in the Quant Finance industry.

You’ve got my attention, tell me more…

As a quant researcher on this team of 12, you will work on extensive research projects and apply your advanced Statistical and Machine Learning skills to extract predictive signals from vast data sets (structured or unstructured). You will then monetise these predictive signals and ultimately contribute to portfolio construction and optimization solutions.

OK… who is the client?

The Chicago-based client is a well-backed, early-stage quant fund run by one of the most well-known names in the industry. They were established in 2019, however, they are past their start-up phase of building and are entering a new era of expansion and real growth. They are applying sophisticated modelling techniques across statistics and machine learning to generate forecasts about global markets and trade on those signals, free of legacy systems and historical baggage. As part of their growth, they are looking to add talented quants to their best-in-class research team to capture new opportunities this year.

Yes, I’m excited by a new challenge, how do I get in touch?

Whether you're happy with your current role or not, there is no harm in testing the waters and finding out more as this could be the opportunity to drive your career this year. You can send me an email at t.gundyadka@gslsearch.com.
