What's involved ?
In this role you will work within a new research technology team. Working and learning from some of the best engineers in the financial services industry. It's a collaborative environment so you will get to build systems from scratch that are critical to the success of the company. (No pressure but these really are key to the success of the business).
Who are you ?
You are based in Chicago or happy to relocate. You may have just graduated or had 2-3 years in industry already. Alongside the natural passion you have for technology, you're also driven by a real desire to get things right. You are hungry for growth and want to work with colleagues that inspire and can mentor. Specifically you should be- Hands-on software development techniques in Python, C++, and other languages
- Learning to manage the full lifecycle of software engineering, including design, deployment, and operations
- Gaining experience in trading and research system architecture, such as database schema design, messaging systems, network protocols, multi threading, and web technologies
- Using automated tests to accelerate your development and get to “done” sooner
- Understanding Linux system administration concepts and skills
