Find out more about the role

Would you like to join team of 20 exceptionally bright, incredibly driven all round nice guys and girls building the most sophisticated research platform imaginable ?

Of course you would.  The team is comprised of researchers, portfolio managers and engineers and research engineers are the glue that make everything happen. This includes everything from :

  • Build, from scratch, performance attribution systems and portfolio analytics to monitor strategies in live trading
  • Build the data pipelines for collecting new alternative datasets that can be monetized and incorporated in live trading or thrown in the bin if there is absolutely no, zip, zero alpha within them
  • Futures is where it began, but not where it ends. You will be adding capability to the research infrastructure to conquer even more asset classes
  • Automation, automation, automation. Fix those workflows and drive the inputs for live trading (researchers currently manage and rejoice at the word automation)
  • Manage and scale all the core components of research infrastructure including data collection, machine learning framework, backtester etc. Otherwise known as the glue that keeps everything going.

OK, sounds god, what do I need to bring to the party?

  • You've been well trained i.e. BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
  • You've been a Quant Developer or related position for the past 2 years
  • You need to be really good at Python - they will test you so be honest with yourself. Also, if you've got any actual C++ programming experience (not just the class at school) that would be nice to have but not essential.
  • I will not stop until I fix this problem.
  • There will be days when you are juggling lots of different priorities - it shouldn't phase you because you are organised and actually multi-tasking makes life interesting
  • You will be working with quants so you had better know your Pandas from your Numpy and your Scikit
