Would you like to join the Core Infrastructure team of one of the most successful systematic futures teams on the street?

Working within a team of extremely talented and collaborative Quantitative Researchers, Engineers and Portfolio Managers you would be responsible for taking their research environment onto the cloud and leveraging everything AWS has to offer.

You would join a small team comprised of technical and hands-on builders, each wearing multiple hats. There is no bureaucracy or legacy platforms, just a bunch of smart engineers building a world class research environment.

How can I make an impact ?

As a Software Engineer on the Core Infrastructure team, you will :

  • Manage HPC cluster that can scale seamlessly to 50K+ cores and 1mm+ research jobs/tasks
  • Lead efforts in making our research platform cloud native
  • Promote AWS best practices within the team by leading info sessions for end users
  • Drive cost efficiency for the overall cloud spend for the group
  • Own and manage components of our on-premises research infrastructure

What do you need from me ?

  • You should have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect/GCP Cloud Architect
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related position
  • Strong programming background in Python and if you had C++ as well that would be great but not essential
  • A tenacious approach to problem solving - the answer is always there to be found.
  • As mentioned it's a small team so you will multi-task and want to take ownership through to delivery
  • Administering a HPC cluster in public cloud is a big plus as is experience with Python data science stack e.g. Pandas/Numpy/Scikit-learn stack
