C++ Quant Developer - New York
Who are you?
You love to write and implement clean, elegant code to solve business problems. It just so happens that you work within quantitative trading. You were always mathematically minded but your real passion was and is software engineering. You have worked with quant strategists and traders to build the research environments and infrastructure to trade and are fluent in C++ and Python.

A small but incredibly successful team that trades short term futures need to hire a Quant Developer (emphasis on the development side). The team have nearly 10 years track record and an existing infrastructure. Based on their success they would like to upgrade their existing trading infrastructure and would like to bring some new ideas into the team.
What’s the role?
Working alongside the quantitative portfolio manager, you will be responsible for designing, developing and ongoing management of the c++ components of the teams trading infrastructure. It’s a small team so you will own the platform and be responsible for improvements in latency and stability. They are investing in improving their existing infrastructure so is a good blend of new build and maintenance.
Specific requirements
- 4+ years of professional coding experience in finance
- Fluency in C++ language and understanding of language internals
- Expert working knowledge of Python and ability to integrate with C++ applications
- Expert working knowledge of the Linux programming environment, including shell scripting, etc.
- Experience with market data and execution, in particular FX and equities execution
- In-depth knowledge of Numpy and Pandas
- Strong quantitative and mathematics skills
